A wee bit of an update

So, I am supposed to be doing a summary blog post with all the stuff we've done in the past few days. Let's just say it has been a full few days! From building toys to visiting a Juvenile Prison to going to an outdoor market to playing a LOT of soccer and rugby, it has been a great week! We have been in George for over a week, and it has been amazing. We are loving getting to know the staff at OAM, the Irish students, and we are eager to get back into the townships to continue building relationships there.

As for this blog post, I express myself best through photographs (well, and writing, but I'm exhausted, so that isn't going so well), so here are a few pictures from our time so far!

Heather got to keep time at the OAM girl's Netball game!
Pierre took us on a lovely walk around the George Botanical Gardens. I for one am SO grateful for Pierre's words of wisdom. I'll have to blog some Pierre-isms soon.
Heather, Ryan and I have become great gardeners. Say hello to our life back-up plans!
Abby, Matt and Holland spent a LONG time sanding planks for a new housing area here at Makani.
This is a common occurrence for us girls when we are in townships and at Kids Stop. The girls love playing with our hair, especially Abby's blonde hair.

So that's a wee taste of what we've been up to, in a different visual medium! Our Irish friends are starting to rub off on how we talk, just wait until you hear us when we come home! :)

Lots o' love,
Alicia :)
