what i think so far

Though we have only been here two full days, I already feel like we have done so much! Early mornings, great devotional times, wise words from Pierre, and great games with friends, have all been incorporated into our lives here at Makani.

Today we went to George Methodist Church. It was simple and heartfelt, and a pleasant change from my home church. Afterwards we all headed to the beach for some lovely time outside. It was so nice to be by the ocean again. South Africa is such a beautiful place and I absolutely cannot wait to see more of it. It's almost like being in a whole new world that is oddly similar to my own world. I don't think it will really seem real until we go to the township on Tuesday.

So what do I think of South Africa so far? It's pretty obvious that I am falling in love with this country, and I think I will only fall harder once the work really begins. It's so fresh here, and I know that I can feel God really moving here. I can't wait to see what He has in store for our next month here in George.
